Affiliated to the Japan Karate Association, JKA-SKC is headed by Keith Geyer and assisted by a group of senior instructors who all have an enormous amount of training experience gained at the Honbu (Headquarters) dojo of the JKA in Tokyo. The aims and objectives of the JKA-SKC Australasia, are to foster, administer and advance the art of JKA karate. Our goal is to educate, motivate, guide and honour our students and instructors while promoting excellence in karate ethics. Our purpose is to develop a strong fighting spirit in each of our members and to inspire them by conducting seminars, and gradings and by staging karate competitions for children and adults.

JKA-SKC has the most innovative and comprehensive martial arts programme available today. We strive to keep up to date with the latest sports specific training by constantly pushing the knowledge of our coaches and students through seminars and cross-training from nationally renowned coaches, also inviting guests of the highest calibre from all around the world. At JKA-SKC we have experienced and qualified instructors that assist and teach on a regular basis. Each instructor within our organisation has a minimum of four years experience with the average being over 10 years. Furthermore all instructors at JKA-SKC must go through vigorous training on how to coach. Many of them have also completed a Government Approved Level 1 National Accredited Coaching Scheme (NCAS) course.
